Automate YouTube Video Uploads from Google Drive with AI Metadata and Buffer Announcements
This workflow helps you automate the process of uploading video files from Google Drive to YouTube with AI-optimized metadata. You can customize the source folder, the number of videos processed per run, the AI's tone for titles and descriptions, and the target YouTube category. It uses Google Drive to retrieve your raw video files and the YouTube Data API to handle the upload after re-encoding the files for maximum compatibility. In this example, the workflow scans a 'YouTube Upload Queue' folder for up to three videos, generates SEO-friendly titles and descriptions, and uploads them as unlisted videos. It even provides thumbnail text suggestions and can optionally announce the new content via Buffer.
What it does
1
Scan a designated Google Drive folder for new video files and collect file details.
2
Generate AI-crafted titles, SEO-optimized descriptions, tags, and category assignments for each video.
3
Re-encode video files into a YouTube-safe H.264 format with constant frame rates to prevent processing errors.
4
Upload the re-encoded videos and their metadata to YouTube as unlisted content.
5
Create social media announcement posts via Buffer to promote the new uploads.
6
Save a detailed run log with upload URLs and a pre-publication checklist to your library.
