Kuse recognizes many common file categories used in office, creative, and technical work. The available preview, edit, and download experience can differ by file type.
Recognition, preview, editing, and generation are different
The current file registry recognizes common office, creative, media, technical, and archive formats. A recognized extension can appear in a Project, but preview, editing, task use, and download are separate capabilities. Test the exact action you need with a representative file.
Documents and text

Web, code, configuration, and archives
- Web documents:
.html,.htm - Common source and configuration files include JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, SQL, CSS, YAML, XML, and related formats.
- Recognized archive categories include
.zip,.rar,.7z,.tar,.gz, and.bz2. Recognition does not guarantee that every archive can be inspected in the same way.
How to check whether a file is a good fit
- Confirm the extension is recognized and the file appears after upload.
- Open the file and check the available preview or editing surface.
- Run a small task that uses a known fact from the file.
- Verify the result against the original before making that format part of a recurring workflow.
Mixed-format Projects
A Project can contain different file categories when they support the same outcome. For example, a brief can use notes, a PDF, a spreadsheet, and reference images. Keep the source set focused and explain the role of each file when the task could confuse factual sources with visual references.
