Share files and folders
Share a PDF, HTML file, or folder with a private link, then check what the recipient can open.
Use a private link when another Kuse user needs to review one file or a folder. Recipients sign in to preview the shared content. Your original files stay unchanged.
Share one file
Use a PDF when the recipient should see fixed pages. Use an HTML file when they should view the page as rendered.
- In the Project, select the PDF or HTML file.
- After selecting the file, click Share in the toolbar or file menu.
- Set Expires to Never, 7 days, or 30 days.
- Choose whether to include related conversations. Set Allow duplication according to whether the recipient should save a copy.
- Click Share, copy the link, and open it with a recipient account before sending it.
The recipient can open the PDF as a read-only page preview or the HTML file as a rendered preview. If conversations are included, they appear with the shared file.
Share a folder
A folder link includes the folder structure and the files inside it. Check every nested folder before creating the link.
- Open the folder and remove anything the recipient should not see.
- Select the folder, then click Share.
- Set the expiry, conversation, and duplication options.
- Click Share and copy the link.
- Open the link with a recipient account. Check the folder tree and preview at least one file.
Check before sending
- The link opens the intended file or folder.
- PDF and HTML previews load correctly.
- The expiry and included conversations match what you selected.
- The recipient's Save a copy behavior matches your handoff requirements.
